(openPR) - Los Angeles / Beverly Hills - March 29, 2006 - Today, the Imperiali Organization, (www.imperiali.org) announced that they have agreed in principle to retain Hollywood Director Marty Eli Schwartz as the director for their upcoming feature film, The Red Worm.

“Marty Eli Schwartz is an accomplished director and I am very pleased to bring him on board to direct what could be the defining work of his career,” stated Imperiali Organization Founder, Daniel Imperato

Last weekend, Imperato met with Schwartz in order to bring The Red Worm to his attention.

“The Red Worm is a truly unique project. It takes a man with incredible vision to be able to portray the message and the story behind The Red Worm onto film. I believe that man is Marty Eli Schwartz and I entrust to him the delivery of a very important story,” expressed Imperato.

Schwartz has directing experience in such TV shows as Miami Vice and Baywatch, and feature films such as The Pink Panther, Taxi, and Cheaper By the Dozen. Currently, Schwartz is serving as the First Assistant Director on the upcoming release, Night At the Museum.

In addition to his directing experience, Schwartz has been producing movies for over 20 years.

Schwartz, over the past 30 years, has worked his way up in Hollywood starting off as a location manager in such movies as Raging Bull and Grease, and eventually achieving his status as an acclaimed, highly sought, producer/director.

Imperato felt that bringing Schwartz on board was only the beginning of bringing this landmark film into fruition.

“Now we have a foundation in Marty Eli Schwartz to build our film. We will be looking for global production partners and distributors, as well as the finest actors in all of Hollywood in order to play the characters of this prophetic tale. We have been entrusted to bring this film to life and now we are in motion to do exactly that.”
